The Association of Registered Nurses of BC
NNPBC Membership

The ARNBC Board strongly encourages all members to join the Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC), as it is now the unified nursing professional association in the province. Starting in 2020 nurses of all designations will have the opportunity to become members of NNPBC, which in turn will allow you to remain connected to the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and, through CNA, to the International Council of Nurses (ICN). Being a member of NNPBC therefore has numerous benefits including:
  • Your opportunity to be part of a dynamic, all inclusive nursing association
  • Automatic membership in CNA
  • Direct engagement with government providing opportunities to shape nursing, health and public policy
  • Access to new learning opportunities
  • Access to CNA speciality certification
  • Direct lines to upcoming events, job opportunities, new resources and services
  • Connection and linkages within the entire nursing community
  • Opportunities to become a regional or workplace ambassador, join a policy table, submit an issues report and attend events
  • Opportunities to engage with the “NursingNow” campaign, in which the global nursing community will be coming together with the World Health Organization to celebrate the Year of the Nurse & Midwife (more details and links below).
  • A chance to vote for your provincial representatives, or even run to be on one of the councils (NP, RN, RPN, LPN) if you choose!
