The ARNBC Board is pleased to announce that Andrea Burton will be taking on the role of Interim Executive Director of the Association of Registered Nurses of BC, effective April 14th, 2017. Andrea will lead the ARNBC team while also maintaining her role as Director of Communications and Government Relations.
Andrea is well known within the B.C. nursing, healthcare and government communities. She has worked alongside the nursing profession for more than 15 years in government (including the Nursing Directorate), with provincial and national nursing associations and as facilitator of the BC Coalition of Nursing Associations. She brings an impressive depth of knowledge, skill and a solutions-oriented approach. Andrea is a respected leader, communicator and innovator who applies her years of experience in navigating the issues and complexities of nursing in B.C. to every facet of her work.
ARNBC stakeholders, partners, collaborators, Board and staff look forward to working with Andrea and have appreciated the seamless integration of her leadership during this time of transition. Our search for a permanent Executive Director is underway.
