The Association of Registered Nurses of BC

In June 2012, ARNBC became the jurisdictional member for British Columbia of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA). Jurisdictional representation on the CNA Board of Directors ensures that the experience and expertise of B.C. nurses informs national health and nursing policy and, in turn, that B.C. nursing policy is informed by the national perspective. ARNBC works closely with CNA to ensure a continuous and effective policy presence and voice among Canadian nurses.

Relevance of a Provincial Nursing Association for Nurses in British Columbia:
  • Connects you with other registered nurses across B.C.
  • Includes your voice in influencing change on social and health issues
  • Links you with national and international nursing and interprofessional organizations
  • Supports your professional practice and advances the profession of nursing
The Association is governed by a Board of Directors which meets monthly. We welcome your visit and encourage you to explore our website, visit our blog, or send an email to for more information.

The Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC) is committed to the concepts of diversity and cultural competence and believes strongly in the importance of including and integrating individuals who represent all areas of nursing practice, and who represent different groups as defined by race, ethnicity, cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, national origin and religion. We encourage all registered nurses and nurse practitioners to become involved with ARNBC.
